How do I enable Google+ Comments?
Google+ Comments is available for Blogger users who have created a Google+ profile and connected it with their blog. If you haven’t upgraded your Blogger profile to a Google+ profile and would like to, you can start the process by clicking the Google+ tab on the Blogger dashboard.
Once your blogs are linked to a Google+ profile, a new “Use Google+ Comments” setting will be displayed on the Google+ tab of your blog. Check the box next to that setting to start using Google+ Comments.
If comments aren't showing up, make sure the following items are true for your blog:
- The "Use Google+ Comments" option is selected.
- Comment location under Settings | Posts and Comments is not set to "Hide." We suggest using "Embedded."
- In the Post Editor, under "Options," Reader Comments is set to "Allow."
If you use Blogger’s commenting platform, existing Blogger comments will stay on your blog, and you’ll continue to have the option to delete or mark them as spam.
If you use a third-party commenting system, your comments might not be retained when you enable Google+ Comments.
What if my readers don’t have a Google+ profile or page? Can they still comment?
No, but they will be prompted to create one when they attempt to comment.
Do my readers have to upgrade their Blogger profile to a Google+ profile to comment?
No. Although they can only comment using their Google+ profile or page, they can continue maintaining their separate Blogger profile. However, their comments will not link back to their Blogger profile, since the two are not connected.
The option to enable Google+ Comments is grayed out
Since Google+ Comments is about sharing content and reaching more readers, this feature won’t work for private blogs. You can change your blog to public to enable the feature.
The option might also be grayed out if you’re using Classic Templates, or if you have a blog with adult content. The Google+ User Content and Conduct Policy is a bit different than the one for Blogger, so some content may not be shareable across platforms.
What happens if I disable Google+ Comments?
If you disable Google+ Comments, comments made by Google+ users during the time that the feature was enabled will disappear from your blog. All other comments (those made by readers before you enabled the feature) will remain.
Does this work with custom templates?
People with custom templates can add the Google+ Comments widget by adding the following code to their template:
<div class='cmt_iframe_holder'
expr:data-href='data:post.canonicalUrl'
expr:data-viewtype='data:post.viewType'/>
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the experience with heavily customized templates.KANG YOGA Community
